For a while now, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla fans have been crying out for further reasons to extend their stay in the Viking afterlife. And finally, that wait is almost over.

Launching August 12th on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Stadia, PC, PS4, and PS5, The Siege of Paris will follow in the footsteps of Ubisoft’s previous expansion, Wrath of the Druids.

Accompanying its release is the official soundtrack. Cleverly composed by Stephanie Economou using original Old Norse lyrics, you can now stream the first track from the upcoming album on YouTube.

What Is Assassin’s Creed DLC – Siege of Paris?

Let’s get down to the need-to-know details. Below, you’ll discover what awaits us in the next Assassin’s Creed DLC.

In a recent blog post, Ubisoft outlined some of the future additions, set to include a new region named “Francia,” alongside “new weapons, gear, skills, enemy types, and abilities.”

All-new questlines are also set to feature. However, the true scope and scale of these missions are yet to be confirmed. At least, as of writing.

Coming this summer, The Siege of Paris expansion adds a new region, Francia, and re-creates the titular Viking battle,” said Ubisoft. But the scope expands far beyond the future City of Lights, as Eivor undertakes new quests and forges alliances across the French countryside. You’ll also discover new weapons, gear, skills, enemy types, and abilities, including Golden Flame sticky bombs.”

Based on the above statement, players should have plenty to tie them over with the next DLC. Of course, we’ll be sure to share our first impressions, soon as the content lands on our shoreline.

Sigrblot Season

In the meantime, Ubisoft has been inviting players to its summer season event, the Sigrblot Festival.

Free to all players until August 19th, the limited-time event will grant participants “50 free Opals” to spend in Reda’s shop, although this discount will only apply to “premium items.”

On top of that, after numerous pleas from Creed’s player base, one-handed swords are also introduced to the game. As for activities, players can prove their fighting prowess in what Ubisoft calls “brawl-like matches.”

Meanwhile, the recent arrival of settlers issues the promise of new quests, according to Ubisoft.

New settlers, new quests. Help Eivor and the Raven Clan prepare for upcoming raids and for the war with Francia,” Ubisoft’s statement reads. “For safe and bountiful journeys for your clan, select offerings to the gods like Thor, Freyja, or Baldr. Help Braun prepare for the Sigrblot Festival’s sacrifice in The Three Big Pigs, where he’ll let you in on his plight.
