Humble Indie Playstation Bundle Available Now
|
Humble Bundle has released an indie bundle for the PlayStation that will last until February 12th. This seller regularly sells gaming bundles of all kinds — games, music, expansion packs — with a portion of the proceeds going to charity and the creators.
This Indie Bundle includes a range of different games released by inXile Entertainment, Double Fine Productions, and Devolver Digital, to name a few. For a donation, you can get a copy of these indie releases like The Bard’s Tale, Grim Fandango Remastered, and Shadow Warrior 2. Following is the breakdown of pricing tiers and what is available at each one.
In the “Pay $1 or more” category, players can receive The Bard’s Tale: Remastered and Resnarkled, Grim Fandango: Remastered, and Innerspace. For $10.30 or more, in the “Pay more than the Average” tier, you can get Broken Age, Layers of Fear, The Talos Principle, and Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut. Finally, at the top tier, at “Pay $15 or more,” Killing Floor 2, and Shadow Warrior 2 are made available. Bonus content is also available at different tiers, including soundtracks for Grim Fandango and Innerspace. All this content has a value of $239, and you can get it all for around $15 or more. That’s a steal — and all for a good cause.
This month, the charity of the month is Charity: Water , a non-profit organization based out of New York. Charity: Water aims to bring safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Another feature charity this month is CBLDF [link: http://cbldf.org/f-a-q/], which is the Comic Book Legal Defense Team.
Not only are they giving to charity, but contributors are also helping to pay these indie publishers and help them grow. This can help to launch a game more into the mainstream, allowing them to get more funding and to produce more games for the market.
While this Indie Bundle runs until February 12th, you can still contribute to Charity: Water and CBLDF, as well as other organizations like Game Changers, Save the Children, and the Rett Syndrome Research Trust by purchasing other bundles. They’re also currently running a Fantasy Bundle, as well as an Intro to Code Bundle. If you’re interested in checking out more of what they have to offer, check out Humble Bundle here.
